|Network Eagle User Interface|
The Log panel is located in the lower-right part of the main Network Eagle window. This panel is used to display log messages generated by the application. You can enable logging to a file on the disk. To get help on configuring logging to a file, see help on Options\Logging.
You can start/stop logging (and to a file as well) by selecting the Enable/Disable menu item in the Tools menu.
By right-clicking inside the log panel, you can access its popup menu with commands for controlling the Log panel. You can copy the selected log message, clear the log, enable/disable it or hide the Log panel away from the screen. To make this panel visible again, select the Information item from the View menu.
Also, you can use this popup menu to access the Find function. If you want to find something in the log, select this item from the popup menu. The standard find dialog box will appear. You can search forward and backward from the current cursor position in the Log panel, make your search case-sensitive and case-insensitive and so on.
Messages are always logged in case of a check failure/backup and the errors why check is failed are also always logged. As to messages from the alerting subsystem (running alerts, error messages from alerts, etc.), you can disable them in the Options\Logging dialog box.
